Mild-mannered Roy Cropper saw red on Coronation Street and fans were furious

Coronation Street fans have turned on Roy Cropper after he lashed out at Carla Connor before kicking her out of his home.

The usually mild-mannered cafe owner saw red on Wednesday's show and tore into the Underworld boss, accusing her of “aggregating all responsibility” for the roof collapse.

Roy, played by David Neilson, gave Carla (Alison King) what for after her interview with the police over the factory caving in, which killed Rana Habeeb.

Roy said: "A young woman is dead and all you and he seem to care about is aggregating all responsibility."

He didn’t appreciate Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) chipping in telling him to calm down - and told him so.

Roy ranted: "I make no claim of moral superiority but, I repeat, I will not be spoken to in that way in my own home."

Turning back to Carla, he added: "And you, you'd better move out immediately."

Peter leapt to her defence, but Carla stopped him before thanking Roy for letting her stay and packing her bags.

If that wasn't bad enough, Carla also bumped into her mourning sister Kate Connor (Faye Brooks) who also unleashed her rage at the factory boss.

Kate screamed: "Do you think I give a rat’s backside what your living arrangements are? You’re a murdering b**** and nobody wants you here."

Some Coronation Street viewers were so angry with Roy they tweeted their upset.
