Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher appeared on recent episode of Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, and revealed their controversial bathing behaviour.
A discussion about Kunis’ lifelong struggle with acne led to a conversation about showering, during which Shepard admitted that he had trying to convince co-host Monica Padman to stop washing her whole body and focus on the “soles and holes.” (Apparently, washing the entire body can strip it of natural oils.)
Kunis and Kutcher concurred, Kunis admitting she doesn’t wash her whole “body with soap everyday,” instead opting to focus on the most important parts. “I wash my armpits and crotch daily and nothing else ever,” Kutcher confessed.
Nobody:

Nobody at all:
Literally nobody on Earth:
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis: "We don't bathe ourselves or our kids." https://t.co/KjESaDimfG
Kunis disclosed that her nonchalant attitude regarding showering and bathing stems from having grown up without “hot water… as a child, so I didn’t shower very much anyway.”
And now, the mother of two is passing this pastime onto the couple’s own kids Wyatt and Dimitri, who are 6 and 4 years old. “I wasn’t that parent that bathed my newborns, ever,” Kunis recalled.
Now that they’ve grown up a bit, Kutcher explained they have a structured system. “If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point,” he said.
I thought Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher were trending because of a possible divorce but the actual reason is MUCH worse

Twitter is dumbfounded by the couple’s claims — but mainly, people are put off by the inevitable return of “the bathing discourse.”
yes bathing discourse as returned for another round https://t.co/gKz5HK8Gzs

Others don’t understand why they felt compelled to share it in the first place.
I’m trying to figure out why Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis felt the need to share that? pic.twitter.com/NYbSGAeHV3

Some Twitter users made sure to point out double standards, and Kunis and Kutchers’ privilege in being able to admit the infrequency with which they wash their kids.
When poor people talk like this the state threatens to take their children from them. https://t.co/BRO3a2B4Lx

Whenever discourse about bathing hits the timeline and shows a racial divide, I think about the why behind it all. If black folks sent their kids to school looking unkempt or dirty, they were inviting child services to their door. https://t.co/uZEYo26pQk

But really, people can’t just handle the bathing discourse anymore.
i cannot do another round of shower/bathing discourse, please, it’s been a tough year
