Mikel Arteta warns Arsenal outcasts there are ‘things to be done’ in transfer window with game time limited

Mikel Arteta says Arsenal still have work to do in the transfer market after signing Martin Odegaard.

The midfielder, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Emirates Stadium, has joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in a deal worth around £30million.

His arrival will be swiftly followed by that of Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who has undergone a medical ahead of his £24m move.

Arteta says Arsenal still plan to be busy in the transfer market and he hinted on Friday morning that players will leave the club.

The likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Eddie Nketiah, Lucas Torreira, Sean Kolasinac and Reiss Nelson have all been linked with moves.

“There’s still 11 days to go and we still have things to do,” said Arteta.

“There are going to be players at the moment with the way the squad is set up that are going to be difficult to find game time, so there are things to be done.”
