New Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana has backed William Saliba to shine at Arsenal despite his lack of opportunities so far in north London.
Saliba completed a transfer to join the Gunners last year but remained on loan with St. Etienne for another season, where he struggled with injury problems.
Initially tipped to quickly break into Mikel Arteta's starting line-up, Saliba has found himself behind new signing Gabriel Magalhaes, veteran David Luiz and a revitalised Rob Holding in the pecking order.
However, Fofana is not worried and believes that he will be successful in the Premier League.
"We are very close. I call him before each match and if he says to me that he is not playing, I do not watch," he told L'Equipe via GFFN.
"He was injured a lot last season and the coach in place at Arsenal is not the one who signed him.
"I say to myself that this could happen to me.
"Wil is a super player. He will overcome this.
"We know that we are capable of succeeding in the Premier League."
