Mikel Arteta's early success at Arsenal gives him a greater margin for error than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United according to former Gunner Kevin Campbell.
The Spaniard, who took over in December last year, has already delivered the FA Cup and the Community Shield.
Optimism is growing in north London despite their indifferent start to the season which has seen them lose three of their six league games.
Solskjaer though is yet to win any silverware in his 18 months at Old Trafford.
A poor transfer window was made worse by consecutive losses at home, the latter a 6-1 mauling at the hands of Tottenham.
Arsenal are next to visit Old Trafford as both clubs look to close the gap on the Premier League's elite.
And Campbell reckons Arteta's silverware gives him a stronger hand than the Norwegian.
“I think Arsenal are in around about the same position as Manchester United, but Arsenal and Arteta have the added luxury of having won a trophy which gives him some form of leeway,” he told the Daily Star .
“Manchester United and Arsenal fans are hungry for success and both managers have to deliver, especially when we’re talking about two of the biggest clubs in England right now.
“Manchester United fans demand success, whether the manager is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or not, and Arsenal fans demand success too.
“Arsenal fans want to be able to challenge in the Premier League and get up there and back in the Champions League too. So, both Arteta and Solskjaer have to deliver.”
United and Arsenal are both languishing in the bottom half at this early stage of the season.
Arteta's side though can close to within four points of leaders Liverpool with a win in Manchester.
