Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has backed the Kroenkes ownership of the club and says he "cannot control" speculation linking Spotify billionaire Daniel Ek with a supposed takeover of the Gunners.
Talk around Ek making a move for Arsenal has increased in recent days, with fans protesting against the Kroenkes at last Friday's Premier League match at home to Everton, Arsenal's first since the collapse of the doomed European Super League.
Ek, who has a personal fortune of around $4.9billion is said to be determined to make a move for the club, and has the support of many of the fans and also the supposed backing of club legends Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira, but Arteta says he is only focusing on what he can look after.
"I cannot control the speculation and what is going on," he said ahead of Thursday's Europa League semi-final against Villarreal.
"What I like to know and talk about is the reality. We have owners that are really committed and want a successful team on the pitch, and will do everything they can to achieve that."
When pressed on his discussions with the Kroenkes over transfers, he added: "It's always been part of the discussion. What I can tell you is they want to do their best to have a really successful Arsenal on the pitch."
Arteta refuse to say whether or not the protests before the Everton game affected his side's performance in the match, which they lost 1-0, but did add: "The players need the supporters fully committed behind the team and the moment we have them inside the stadium I'm sure that will be the case."
The Gunners boss also confirmed that he expected to have Kieran Tierney, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang available for the clash.
