Mikel Arteta could reportedly return to the Arsenal dugout in time to face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Thursday, should the match go ahead.
The Gunners boss was forced to isolate after returning a positive covid test last week and missed his side’s defeat to Manchester City on New Year’s Day.
However, the Evening Standard has reported Arteta’s isolation is set to end on Wednesday, with the Spanish coach expected to take training on Wednesday.
The first leg of the Reds’ two-legged semi-final clash with the Gunners is scheduled to take place at the Emirates Stadium with the return leg at Anfield set for January 13.

There are major doubts about whether the first leg of the semi-final will go ahead though, as the Reds made an official request to have the match postponed due to a covid outbreak in the camp.
Should the game be played, Liverpool are unlikely to have Jurgen Klopp on the sidelines following his own positive covid test .
The German coach was forced to watch on away from Stamford Bridge as his side played out a draw with Chelsea on Sunday.
Klopp became the latest person in the Liverpool camp to be absent due to covid, with the club confirming that Alisson, Joel Matip and Roberto Firmino had also returned positive tests.
It means that there is unlikely to be a reunion between Klopp and Arteta on the sidelines, after their earlier meeting in November.
The pair became involved in a confrontation during Liverpool’s 4-0 win after the Arsenal boss was left enraged by a suspected foul by Sadio Mane on Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Though, Klopp was left less than convinced by the Arsenal manager’s argument.
“The situation is that it was a completely clean situation, nothing happened,” the Liverpool boss said .
"Two players jumped in the air, no-one touched each other like a foul and the bench for Arsenal is going for whatever.
"So I just asked, 'what do you want for that?'
"There was no contact and it looks like everyone wants a yellow card [for Mane] and for me I am really sick of these situations where everyone tries to go for Sadio in these moments.”
