Mikel Arteta sends message to Man City manager Pep Guardiola after Arsenal FA Cup win

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta thanked Pep Guardiola after his side won the FA Cup at Wembley.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice as Arsenal came from behind to beat Chelsea and win the FA Cup for a record 14th time on Saturday.

Christian Pulisic had fired Chelsea ahead before Aubameyang equalised from the spot after Cesar Azpilicueta brought the forward down.

Gabon forward Aubameyang hit the winner in the second half before Chelsea's Mateo Kovacic was later sent off for two yellow card offences.

Arteta left his role as Guardiola's assistant in December to take charge of a struggling Arsenal team, who had previously been under the guidance of Unai Emery.

And speaking after the game at Wembley, Arteta was quick to pay tribute to his former boss.

He told BT Sport: “I have to thank you as well Pep, in a very big way, because I am a manager now in a big part thanks to him, so I have to consider that as well.”
