Mikel Arteta's biggest Arsenal issue exposed in embarrassing Unai Emery comparison

Arsenal will be keen to revoke the newest stat that has emerged as the Gunners look to revive their season by welcoming Norwich City to the Emirates.

The two sides are the only clubs yet to score a goal or register a single point in the Premier League so far this season and will lock horns following the international break to lift themselves from afoot of the table.

However, contrary to the norm, Daniel Farke's side have been handed a psychological boost in their efforts to waltz away victorious amid Arsenal's significant goalscoring woes under Arteta at home.

The Gunners boss has tallied a feat that has seen his north London side fail to score in 30 per cent of all home Premier League games, despite the wealth of firepower at his disposal.

Arteta has become the joint-worst ranked manager in Arsenal history with regard to a boss' inability to score at home alongside George Graham, sweeping aside the agendas against Unai Emery's infamous tenure.

Unai Emery is ranked as Arsenal most successful manager with regard to goals scored at home in Premier League fixtures, failing to score in just in four percent of clashes.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger tallied 11 per cent and Bruce Rioch recorded 16 per cent highlighting the severity of Arteta's goalscoring woes.

Just four sides suffered a lower percentage of total goals scored at home last season in the Premier League compared to Arsenal comprising of Liverpool, Burnley, Fulham and West Brom, whereby the Reds were the only side to finish outside the bottom four.

The Gunners also reaped just 23 goals between Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last season in the Premier League, despite Edu recently admitting that he expects to see the duo combine towards 40, highlighting the mountain Arteta must climb.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Edu admitted that the north London side have a pair of strikers capable of netting 45 goals a season, alluding to the France and Gabon internationals.

"We have a striker who delivers to us 25 goals every single season," said Edu, before hinting at Alexandre Lacazette. "We have another one who delivers 15-20 goals every season.
