Mikel Arteta reveals transfer meeting with Raul Sanllehi on Eddie Nketiah's Arsenal future

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says that he will be having a meeting with Edu and Raul Sanllehi on Thursday to discuss Eddie Nketiah's future.

The striker has spent the first half of the season on loan at Leeds United, but following a disappointing return in minutes played, the Gunners have decided to recall the young attacker.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa confirmed the decision on Wednesday night, stating that "it is a pity" for the Championship club, but noted that Nketiah is "a great player and professional".

Nketiah posted a classy message of his own following the news, stating that his "amazing experience" had come to an end, before thanking the Leeds staff, his teammates and the fans for their support.

Speculation has been rife in the build up to the January transfer window that Nketiah would be recalled, with Bristol City hoping to sign him after missing out on his signature in the summer.

And Arteta stated that a decision would be made in due course following a meeting tomorrow with the club hierarchy and the striker.

"I'm having a meeting tomorrow with Edu and Raul to go through all the loans and situations," Arteta told reporters.

"I know he's coming tomorrow so I will speak to him and try to make the best decision for him."
