Mikel Arteta responds to question about Arsenal leak and internal team meeting

Mikel Arteta has refused to get drawn in on reports that he conducted an internal team meeting following leaks about the club.

The Arsenal manager warned "there will be consequences" for the source responsible for leaking a story about a training ground incident between Dani Ceballos and David Luiz last month.

Arsenal vs Burnley - Match Preview

football.london understands that a frustrated and angry Arteta addressed the first team squad following the leak and vowed to find whoever was the source of the information.

"I don't like the fact that that incident comes out at all," said Arteta.

"I will find out where it is coming from and if that is the case, that goes completely against what I expect from each other, the privacy and the confidentiality that we need, and there will be consequences."

He was asked about the leak in his pre-match conference but said "I will never discuss what we talk internally", but explained where he will get the confidence from following a dismal start to the Premier League season.

"Well I see everyday," he said.

"We spend a lot of time together. We have talks. We see a lot of situations. We talk, we hear, we listen to them and obviously we monitor them everyday so my conclusions come from there."

Arsenal are in 15th place ahead of Sunday's must-win match against Burnley having had their worst start to a league season since 1981.
