Matteo Guendouzi is back for Arsenal.
The midfielder, who has been linked with a move away from the north London outfit during the summer transfer window, has returned to first-team training ahead of this weekend's Premier League opener against Fulham.
As spotted via @footballdaily video clip uploaded to Twitter, Guendouzi can be seen very early on as he's standing next to summer signing Willian.
This represents a major development in regards to the 21-year-old's future.
In July, The Athletic, reported that the French midfielder has been omitted from first-team training sessions with Mikel Arteta unhappy with the player's 'attitude and general conduct'.
This is after Guendouzi made the headlines after he hit out at Brighton and Hove Albion striker Neal Maupay for his role in Bernd Leno's injury during the Gunners' defeat at the Amex Stadium.
And although he did not receive retrospective action from the FA, he was, however, punished in-house, amid being cut from first-team sessions.
But has he been given a second chance? That could be the case as a move to Lyon as part of a swap deal involving Houssem Aouar is unlikely to happen.
Well in identical posts on Twitter and Instagram after playing for the national under-21 side, Guendouzi appeared to suggest that he is ready to fight for his place in Arteta's plans.
"2 games, 6 points! Proud of my team @equipedefrance," his post on Tuesday read.
Guendouzi also added at the end: "Now let’s go back to work @Arsenal."
Whilst not directly addressing Guendouzi last month, Arteta did say that every member of his squad will be given a fresh start ahead of the new season.
"I have been really clear that everybody starts from zero all the time in football," the Spaniard told reporters. "What you did two weeks ago or two years ago doesn't really matter.
"It's what you are able to contribute to the team now.
"Everybody is going to have the same opportunities.
"They'll have to show with their performances and their attitude that they are better than their teammates or somehow contributing to what we want to achieve this season."
