New Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has outlines the 'non-negotiable' expectations that he has of his players ahead of his first game in charge.
The Gunners travel to the south coast to take on Bournemouth on Boxing day in what is the Spaniard's first game as Arsenal head coach.
He watched on from the stands at Goodison Park on Saturday, as Freddie Ljungberg's team drew 0-0 with Everton. It was Arsenal's first away clean sheet of the season.
Ahead of the match against the Cherries, Arteta has said that the two main things that he demanded of the players were evident against the Toffees.
"I think that we have a really good team with a lot to improve. The two things I demanded they done so it was a good starting point," he said in his pre-match press conference.
"They have a bit of the picture that I expect from them.
"We are much more committed. The body language was much better and they had much more passion.
"That is non-negotiable."
Arsenal sit in 11th place in the Premier League, nine points adrift of Chelsea in fourth place.
Arteta has also outlined the priority for him as head coach.
"What we are going to transmit to the team is accountability to play for this football club. This is the basic." he said.
