Mikel Arteta opens up on that spat between Arsenal stars Dani Ceballos and Eddie Nketiah

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has opened up on that spat between Eddie Nketiah and Dani Ceballos.

The two Gunners stars were picture pushing and shoving during the warm-up ahead of Arsenal's opening day win over Fulham.

Though, concerns of a rift were soon put to bed with the pair pictured smiling together in an Instagram post after the game.

Arteta has now spoken about the incident, taking comfort in how it was 'resolved' between the two players.

The cost of empty stadiums: Arsenal

“I was surprised because it’s not common to see," he said in his press conference on Friday. "At the start, I didn’t like that.

"Then I understood what happened and the level of frustration. I really like the way everything was resolved.

“You can see the way they came on how committed they were. How much they wanted to play.

"I don’t want them to kill each other but it’s okay.”

The incident came about when Ceballos put a strong challenge in on Nketiah ahead of the game, which neither player started.

But the Spaniard posted a picture with his teammate after the game, writing: “No problem here my brother.”
