Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta admits that he's interested to see how Ralf Rangnick fares at Manchester United after sharing his verdict on the appointment.
Having come under mounting pressure before the November international break, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was finally issued his P45 by the Premier League giants last month.
After placing Michael Carrick in caretaker charge, United were interested in Mauricio Pochettino but, instead, they opted to appoint Rangnick as interim manager until the end of this season.
He won't take charge against the Gunners at Old Trafford on Thursday night, though.
The German has yet to be granted a work permit after landing the United job — meaning Carrick will be in the dugout when Arteta brings his in-form side to Manchester.
Arsenal are five points and three places clear of United in the early Premier League standings, having lost their first three matches and before going eight unbeaten until their recent 4-0 defeat at Liverpool.
They returned to winning ways against rock-bottom Newcastle United last time out.
During his pre-match press conference, Arteta was asked about Rangnick and what impact he might have.

He said: "He's been one of the top coaches.
"He's made some radical changes in some areas and is a really interesting person in the football world and a really interesting appointment for the football club."
