Mikel Arteta says Arsenal are "working on a few things" in relation to January transfers.
The new Gunners boss has now overseen back-to-back victories for the first time after his side followed up their Premier League victory over Manchester United on New Year's Day by beating Leeds United 1-0 in the FA Cup third round on Monday night.
The Gunners rode their luck in the first half as the Championship side came close on a number of occasions, with No.2 goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez often keeping out Marcelo Bielsa's outfit.
Arsenal improved a lot in the second period though, and took the lead 10 minutes into the second period when Reiss Nelson scuffed home an effort into the bottom corner.
Arteta's side will now take on Bournemouth in the fourth round at the end of January, and Arteta coyly suggested that it is possible that they could have a new addition in their ranks by then.
Post-match the Spaniard was asked by a reporter at his press conference about Arsenal's links with the Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, to which he responded: "We don't talk about any transfers and we are working on a few things.
"When the club has something to say I will let you know."
Arteta also opened up on his need to be critical of his players following that below-par first half.
"When I see what I don't want to see - and I'm not talking about technically or tactically - what I expect from them and the standards that we want to set in certain areas, I cannot be happy and I have to let them know," he said.
"But I am learning everyday from them - how they react when they lose, what they need when they lose and what they need when they win as well. Also, how they can react when they want to because before that, everyone said it was a physical issue.
"That we could not sustain certain rhythm or intensity throughout the game, look how they finished tonight.
"After 94 minutes they kept going and this is what they have to understand as a team."
