Mikel Arteta has prepared Arsenal players for the biggest challenge they will face vs Wolves

Mikel Arteta faces a tough task trying to come away from Molineux with three points this afternoon [July 4], but the Arsenal head coach is confident his side will find a way to triumph over Wolves.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side have been impressive since their return to the Premier League last season and are - like the Gunners - mounting a charge for possible Champions League football next season.

Ahead of the clash, Wolves stand six points above seventh placed Arsenal on 52 points [level with Manchester United], meaning this game could prove to be vital for both side's chances of reaching Europe's premier competition.

The Midlands-based side have been in great form since returning to action, with Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore at the centre of their success. The pair currently hold the highest assist-to-goalscorer tally in the Premier League [seven] and two have come since Project Restart begun in June, which Arteta was keen to acknowledge ahead of the game.

Mikel Arteta on what gives him confidence Aubameyang will stay

"They link with each other really well, they're understanding, the movement, the patterns that they have are a big threat," he said in his pre-match press conference.

"I think the way Raul is settled in the country and the player he's become is because of the structure he has in the team that his manager and the players around him have created.

"Adama, I know him from my time in Barcelona as well, he's a player that can unlock the door at any moment in the game. I always saw incredible potential that the moment he could evolve certain areas of his game that he was unstoppable to play at times.

"When he gets the service in the right moments and gets isolated, he's a player that is so difficult to defend and he's showing that in a constant way right now - something [which] for a very talent player is not easy to do."

What has also been impressive from Santo's side is that they are yet to concede a goal in the three games since Project Restart begun, keeping clean sheets against West Ham, Bournemouth and Aston Villa.

Being so difficult to break down, Arteta also understands that the work he has been doing to create a more balanced attacking force with the 3-4-3 must pay off to come away with a positive result.

"A lot of teams have struggled to create anything against them. They are really strong defensively, really well structured, there are little spaces to attack," he added.

"We will put a plan [together] to try to hurt them with the right players in the right spaces to create the chances we need to win the game.

"[They are] as well a team that in counter attack and when they are stable in the final third against the opponent, have the players to hurt you so they are very solid and consistent. A team that doesn't concede many always has a good chance to win the game and be top of the table."
