Mikel Arteta has found Arsenal their very own Arjen Robben amid January transfer uncertainty

It seemed just yesterday that Arsenal were touted to cave in following Mikel Arteta's decision to strip Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from his captaincy duties.

However, despite the Gunners having one of their - supposed - leading goal threats out of the frame, Arsenal's strike force looked stronger than ever.

A key component of Arteta's fruit-bearing frontline, which has raked in 21 goals across the last six games, is Bukayo Saka who turned the tide in his side's favour before it had even turned.

The Premier League's new weatherman or not, Saka forecasted the drama that could follow Aubameyang's captaincy saga and took the Gunners' fate into his own hands - turns out he did alright as well.

So, with five goals and assists in his last four Premier League clashes, Bailey Keogh and Hush Kerai spoke live on The Arsenal Way 'Agenda show' to wax lyrical about how Saka has transformed into Arteta's very own Arjen Robben.

Kerai kickstarted proceedings by noting how the Gunners' number seven has begun warranting comparisons with one of Bayern Munich's all-time greats with the manner in which he slices through opponents.

"The two goals were carbon copy finishes," he said. "The goalkeeper knows what he's going to do, the defenders know what he's going to do, but he still does it.

"I liken it to Arjen Robben, which is the highest high praise you can get when it comes to down to cutting in onto the left-foot."

Kerai added by noting how Saka's first goal for the club came in a similar way in which his first and second came against Norwich at Carrow Road.

"I think it was his first goal for the club was away in the Europa League in Germany against Frankfurt and it was the exact same goal," he said. "From that day you just know that it'll be a big part of his game, cutting in from the right on his left-foot.

"That's why Saka on the right works so well because his ability to chop onto that left and either shoot or cross is bordering on world-class I'd say."

Kerai concluded by hailing the England international as one of Arteta's most reliable and important players in when Arsenal are swimming against the tide.

"Again, he's still a young boy. We've had this conversation about other players in the past with Raheem Sterling. You need to give them time to mature and learn their goal-scoring instincts and grow into those goal and assist numbers.

"There's no doubt for me, I think because Saka is probably our most important player, we always just go back to him when things are not going well.

"He's probably one of the two or three players, and probably he is at the top of that list who we look to, who provides us with what you can describe as clutch moments in those really tough situations. He's the breakthrough guy."
