Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has suggested that Jack Wilshere could train with his side while attempts to find a new club following his release from Bournemouth.
Wilshere has struggled to find a new employer after leaving the Championship side at the end of last season, and recently found himself training with Serie B side Como in Italy.
The 29-year-old was once tipped to be England's next big talent, but consistent injury problems plagued the midfielder's career, and he is now a free agent.
Arteta played alongside Wilshere during his time at Arsenal, and may have offered his former teammate a lifeline as he looks to salvage his career.

The Gunners boss was asked on Thursday if Wilshere could potentially train at their London Colney facility, and said: "He is someone that I know who I shared the dressing room with, who is so loved around the club with every person here and our doors are always open."
Wilshere was previously training with Como in Italy and a permanent deal looked imminent, but a deal couldn't be secured as the midfielder didn't have an EU passport.
Como confirmed Wilshere's eligibility problems on their Twitter account as they tweeted: "Jack Wilshere is training with Como 1907 by Jack Gattuso in these hours but he cannot be registered in #SerieBKT because of the non-EU passport."
The midfielder recently revealed in an interview with The Athletic that he regrets leaving Arsenal in 2018, and has even considered retiring from the game all together due to his difficulty to find a new club.

However, Wilshere now may have the perfect opportunity to return to the Emirates, even if it is under different circumstances, and there's no suggestion it couldn't lead to a future role.
Wilshere loves Arsenal, and has never been one to shy away from expressing his passion for the north London side, and the Gunners could use some of that emotion in the dressing room after an awful start to the Premier League season.
Arsenal have lost each of their opening three league games so far this campaign, and haven't even been able to register a single goal, making it their worst ever start to a top-flight season in their 118-year history.
Despite the appalling record, it was a tough start for the Gunners, with fixtures against Chelsea and Manchester City following their opener against Brentford, but they have to bounce back with a win over newly promoted Norwich.
Arsenal sit bottom of the Premier League, and Arteta has reportedly been given until the next international break to turn his sides fortunes around, or he could be the first manager to be sacked this season.
The Gunners will be hoping to finally get off the mark against Norwich, as Arteta said: "We need the first win, we are going to play in front of our fans after a disappointing start, so it's down to us to provide everything we have performance-wise to earn the result we want at the end."
