Bukayo Saka was "upset" not to be involved in Arsenal's Europa League Round of 16 second-leg with Olympiacos on Thursday evening.
That's according to Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, who has brought the 19-year-old back into the side to face West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal are looking for their second consecutive victory as they face the high-flying Hammers, who also have European ambitions this season.
Arteta has made six changes to the starting XI he put out against Olympiacos, with Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, Alexandre Lacazette and Saka all coming into the side for the clash at the London Stadium.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang comes back into the team for a Premier League game after he missed last weekend's win over Tottenham due to "disciplinary reasons".
The Gunners captain starts alongside Lacazette, with the former set to play in a wide position.
“I said that the issue was resolved in a really positive way, he’s shown great attitude and he’s back in the team today," Arteta said on Aubameyang to Sky Sports.
“It gives us a different option, we have much more of a goal threat (with Aubameyang and Lacazette in the team).
"We need to start converting our chances more often to start winning more football matches. Laca has been in top form as well, so I’m sure they can play together."
Speaking about Saka, who has been one of the main positives to come out of this season for Arsenal, Arteta revealed his desire to play in midweek against Olympiacos, but was unable to due to injury.
“He’s worked really hard, he really wanted to play," the Gunners manager said.
"He was really upset he couldn’t be involved on Thursday and he made everything he could to try and be involved today.
“We had five or six players that were struggling after the match. We played almost two days ago, we’ve played so many games in six weeks and we need to freshen it up. We have players that deserve to play as well, so we’ve been doing that."
