Here's all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.
Former Arsenal player says Ozil’s exclusion is his ‘own fault’
Arsenal invincible Lauren has claimed Mesut Ozil only has himself to blame for being left out of the club’s Premier League and Europa League squads this season.
The Germany international is now only eligible to play in domestic cup competitions, and recently released a statement claiming he is “no longer allowed to play for Arsenal”.
But Lauren has suggested Mikel Arteta should not be held responsible for Ozil’s decline.
“It is sad to see,” Lauren told Sky Sports. “I don’t believe it has just come from now, I believe it came from a while ago with Emery and now Arteta.
“Arteta would love to have the best players in the squad, if Ozil is not there it’s a consequence of many issues.
“First of all it starts with the player. I believe that if you have the quality and if you’re a top player and are not involved week in, week out, I believe that is your own fault.
“If you have the quality of a top player and you are 100% committed in the team they will play you.
“They wouldn’t have any other option. If you are doing everything you should do as a top player it is difficult for a manager and the club to say ‘you’re not going to play’ or ‘you’re not going to be involved in the team’.”
Mourinho’s Tierney prediction proves accurate
Kieran Tierney’s impressive start to life at Arsenal has made comments from Jose Mourinho seem prescient.
The Scotland international joined the club from Celtic last year and has excelled as both a centre-back and a left-back.
And Mourinho, before he took over as Tottenham manager, backed Tierney to succeed at the Emirates.
“I think Tierney is a young, reliable boy who looks a great character,” Mourinho said at the start of last season.
"He looks a little bit from a previous generation in some aspects, especially with his humble way, I like his profile."
Hleb admits he regrets leaving Arsenal
Former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb has admitted he shouldn’t have left Arsenal for Barcelona in 2008.
The ex-Belarus international joined the Catalan giants for €15million after three successful years with Arsenal.
And, in hindsight, he has questioned his decision to leave the club, despite the appeal of Barcelona.
“Many years later and I still think about it,” Hleb said on Arsenal's In Lockdown podcast. “I don't understand. To this day I still don't understand what happened or why I made the decision.
“Of course, Barcelona in that moment was the best team in the world but I was really happy at Arsenal at the time. I had friends, I enjoyed the coach, I was playing for one of the best teams, the fans, the stadium, everything! The fantastic championship, the Premier League, everything!
“Why I left, I don't understand. Barca, of course, were the best team at the time and everybody wants something to try but really I was 100% happy at Arsenal.
“I cried when I talked to Arsene [Wenger]. We talked in the holiday [period] before I left and he told me he wanted to keep me and I was important. I cried. I didn't know what to do in that moment.”
