Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed set-piece coach Andreas Georgson left the club this summer and he has already been replaced.
Georgson left his post less than a year after being appointed and he has now been named Sports Manager at Malmö.
The change in staff comes after a disappointing season for Arsenal after they failed to quality for European football for the first time in 25 years.
While the change in backroom coaches was abrupt, Arteta said it was an amicable situation.
He said: "Yeah we had a situation in the summer with Andreas [Georgson], where he had the possibility to leave to his country.

"He had different reasons to do that and I understood that situation, so we needed to recruit somebody.
"After looking through what the best solution would be, a person that I know was on the market, was available, is someone whose expertise are incredibly useful and valuable for us. He's joining us. His name is Nicolas Jover and I've worked with him before at City."
Georgson has spoken about his departure from the Gunners, saying it was tough to say goodbye to the Premier League club.
He told Fotbollskanalen : “It’s tough to leave. In part, Mikel Arteta showed great faith in me when he took me in from Brentford – that process was not entirely easy to take me from there. To take me from the environment where I thrived to Arsenal instead.
“He has invested part of his trust and time for me to get into the job there – and to leave after a year are shared feelings of course
“I enjoyed myself very much with the staff and the squad, I felt good there. There is no reason why I should leave there out of sheer well-being or lack of motivation. We had a good time together.”
Arteta and Arsenal are now focused on their pre-season friendlies. They were defeated 2-1 by Hibernian on Tuesday and they will face Scottish champions Rangers on Saturday.
The Gunners' boss said he wasn't happy with the performance against Hibs.
He said: "Well I'm always disappointed when we lose a football match but it is the first game, we played with many kids and we only had four training sessions.
"We've trained really hard and you could see that the players were a little bit leggy. I think we conceded the first goal, an accident, and the second goal was clearly offside.
"We created many, many chances but we didn't score.
"That's what pre-season is for, to take the things that we haven't done well into a training session and then improve."
