Mikel Arteta has refused to confirm or deny if Matteo Guendouzi has a long-term future at Arsenal.
A report in France on Friday morning has claimed that the Gunners have told the 21-year-old that he will be allowed to leave the club if they receive a €40million (£36.3m) offer.
This rumour came hot on the heels of Guendouzi being left out of the 20-man matchday squad for the 2-0 win over Southampton at St Mary's on Thursday evening.
Speaking ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final tie against Sheffield United, Arteta once again reiterated that the club will deal with Guendouzi following his incident with Neal Maupay last weekend.
"Whatever internal issues we have we will deal with privately," the Spaniard told reporters.
But will Guendouzi definitely be an Arsenal player next season?
"All the players that are here, I’m counting on them. If they want to jump on the boat, they are more than welcome and that’s always my mindset," Arteta responded.
"I’m here to help all of them improve individually and collectively and that is my job."
That's not exactly a definitive answer from the Gunners head coach and it's likely that rumours regarding Guendouzi's future will rumble on for quite some time.
