Arsenal travel to 20th place Norwich City on Sunday afternoon in the hope of extending their unbeaten run in the Premier League.
The Gunners have taken maximum points in their last three league encounters, with wins against Southampton, West Ham and Leeds achieved, so they will be very confident in getting the job done on Boxing Day.
What will be interesting to see is if manager Mikel Arteta brings striker Eddie Nketiah into the team from the get-go.
The 22-year-old has been in fine form of late, scoring a match-winning hat-trick on Tuesday night at home to Sunderland in the EFL cup.
But it does look very likely at this stage that his future lies elsewhere once the season finishes.
Nketiah rejected Arsenal's latest offer to extend his contract, largely due to the fact that he's not been given enough opportunities to start games consistently.
The likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brighton have all reportedly been interested in acquiring the England U21 international previously and former Leeds striker Noel Whelan believes that it's time for 'goal machine' Nketiah to move on and seek regular first-team football.
“I think the time has come now for him to move on from Arsenal and try and get that first-team football elsewhere, and I think he realises that," Whelan told the Football Insider
“Whether it’s a pre-contract in the January window, or a move in the summer – it’s the right time.
“He could easily sign another contract at Arsenal and sit on the bench, taking big money in the process. But I think he wants to get out there and forge his career – let’s not forget he is still young.”
For the time being, Arsenal will hope that Nketiah can continue to deliver an impact, especially when considering senior striker Alexandre Lacazette has only managed two league goals this season whilst former club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future remains in doubt.
