Mikel Arteta and Edu told to bring £40million midfielder who 'has got everything' to Arsenal

Mikel Arteta and Edu have been told by former Arsenal defender and three-time Premier League champion Ray Parlour to sign Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Bissouma, who is valued at £40million, has been hot property over the last year but, after cashing in on Ben White, the Seagulls were able to hold onto the 24-year-old for another season.

But that has not stopped a whirlwind of rumours from surrounding the player, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham all widely reported to have been interested in the midfielder at some point.

However, it is believed that Bissouma would favour a move to the Emirates should he leave the Amex, and Parlour has now told the Gunners to go out and sign the player as soon as possible.

“I would love to see (Bissouma) at Arsenal. I said that in the transfer window,” Parlour said on talkSPORT.

“I think (Bissouma) has got everything. He’s efficient, he can put his foot on the ball, he can put his foot in as well, he can pass. He probably could score a few more goals but he’s not in that position to score goals – he’s the one who’s going to keep everything ticking over.

“I’m sure Brighton had to sell one of their players and it was Ben White in the end for £50 million.

“But I think (Bissouma) is going to be a top star. He’s only 24 so there’s lots of time as well.”

Midfield is an area in which Arsenal have struggled in recent years but it is hoped that the signings of Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard from the start of last season will go a long way to solving that issue.
