Mikel Arteta and Edu's next Arsenal transfer mission after £78m triple swoop has been revealed

Arsenal have signed three new players this summer, but some fans are demanding at least one more arrival between now and deadline day.

In bringing Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White to the club, the Gunners have already completed a £78million transfer swoop with the latter costing £50million from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The good news for Arsenal fans is that the trio aren't expected to be the final additions to Mikel Arteta 's squad this summer.

As reported by football.london back in May, the north London outfit are also keen on signing a goalkeeper, a right-back, a central midfielder and a creative midfielder to ease the burden on Emile Smith Rowe next season.

Meanwhile, in recent days there have been links to a new striker.

With Alexandre Lacazette potentially on his way out of the Emirates Stadium in the coming weeks, a replacement would be needed and the Telegraph reported last week that Arsenal have enquired about the availability of Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez.

However, some Gunners fans think Arteta and technical director Edu 's next transfer mission should be a new goalkeeper who is comfortable playing out from the back.

Bernd Leno kept goal in the 2-1 pre-season friendly loss at the hands of Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, but many were concerned about his footwork at times.

And amid links to Aaron Ramsdale - who could cost £40million - it has been suggested that Arteta and Edu renew their interest in Ajax' Andre Onana.

Interestingly, there is a possibility that Leno could leave this summer and cause the Gunners to sign two goalkeepers amid links to Ramsdale and Onana.

football.london understands that the German is open to departing to the Emirates Stadium and with just two years left on his contract Arsenal would be willing to let him go.
