Harry Kane could dominate this summer's transfer window.
And Arsenal might just play a key role in wherever the England international may end up amid links to London rivals Chelsea and Premier League champions Manchester City.
Kane has made no secret of his ambitions to win trophies and has even suggested that he would be prepared to end his 17-year association with Tottenham Hotspur if he can't achieve what he wants.
Unsurprisingly, Spurs are keen to keep hold of their star striker and it would take an eye-watering offer to even start negotiations with Daniel Levy and the club over a potential deal.
However, their local rivals Arsenal may have found a way to ensure that Kane leaves this summer.
Along with Man City and Chelsea, Manchester United have also been mentioned in regards to a big-money transfer for the 27-year-old.
But over the weekend, Man City's summer transfer plans emerged with reports claiming Pep Guardiola wants to bolster his side by signing Kane as well as Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
In addition, the report states that to complete both deals, the Champions League runners-up are looking to spend £250m - £150m on Kane and £100m on Grealish.
But due to the financial impacts of COVID-19, City may find it difficult to sign both without moving some players on.
This is where Arsenal could come in handy.
The Gunners are currently being tipped to sign two players from Etihad Stadium in Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez.
If Arsenal were able to secure transfers for one of Sterling or Mahrez - as unlikely as it may seem - this would go a long way to helping Man City fund a move for Kane.
It would then also have the added bonus of scuppering or weakening Tottenham ahead of the 2021/22 season, while strengthening their own squad.
In many ways the chain would be reminiscent of the deals that saw Mesut Ozil join Arsenal in 2013 to help fund Real's then world-record move for Gareth Bale from Tottenham.
The jury has slightly been out on Edu in his time as Arsenal's technical director so far, but if he was able to pull this off it could improve his popularity ahead of an important summer.
