Mike Zimmer thinks Danielle Hunter is playing more free

As a young player in the NFL, most players are thinking about what they are doing while doing it in live action. With that, you lose some freedom with the way you play.

Now entering his fifth season, Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter feels fully comfortable, hence his 14.5 sacks last season.

“Now, if he makes a mistake, he’s going to make it full speed, correct it and move forward with it,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said. “You obviously see the athletic ability and the bend that he has long arms and the strength and the way that he can slither through openings in the pass game and the run game. It seems much more free to me the way he plays.”

Hunter is one of the best pass rushers in the league and it’s scary to think he’s already piled up 40 career sacks at 24 years old.

You get the feeling that this is only the beginning for Hunter.
