UFC legend Chuck Liddell is confident he would beat boxing legend Mike Tyson in a street fight.
Boxing and MMA crossover talk is all the rage once again with Tyson Fury teasing a possibility of a move into the octagon, having recently hit the pads with middleweight contender Darren Till with Conor McGregor also throwing his support behind ‘The Gypsy King’.
So what about a hypothetical meeting between two of the biggest legends of each sport?
Liddell, an MMA pioneer, was quizzed on the possibility of a meeting with ‘Iron Mike’, admitting each man would comfortably come out on top in their respective trades.
“I’ll make it real simple. Boxing, Mike. MMA, me. He’s got one shot on the way in. Once I get in, it’s over,” Liddell said in an interview with business personality Ed Mylett.
Pushed on what would happen if the two were to meet in a dark alley one night, Liddell said: “Street fight, I win. I mean, he’s got a puncher’s chance. He’s got a chance to catch me coming in. But other than that, it’s over.”
