Mike Tyson shows off venomous power as he continues to train for comeback fight

Mike Tyson's preparations for his return to the boxing ring appear to be going from strength to strength in the latest footage from his training.

The 54-year-old is set to return to the sport with an exhibition clash against fellow former world champions Roy Jones Jr on November 28.

With the weeks ticking down until his eagerly awaited comeback, the American great is wasting no time in ensuring he is in peak condition for that bout.

Tyson has regularly posted clips on his social media account from his training sessions and the latest footage shows 'Iron' looking close to his ferocious best.

In a clip upload to the 54-year-old's Instagram page on Tuesday, the former heavyweight world champion can be seen unleashing a string on vicious blows on his pad-wearing trainer, before backing him into a corner to continue to assault.

The American can then be seen showing that his head movement remains as fast as ever, dodging a flurry of taps with some slick moves.

As the clip continues, Tyson can be seen maintaining a high punch rate to show that his stamina is in impressive shape ahead of November's bout with Jones Jr.

The clip then finishes with the 54-year-old taking a sip from a can of Black Energy, the drinks brand having played a big role so far in the former champ's return.

The impressive training footage emerged just a day after the American admitted he spent a week in bed after his first session back in the ring.

"Let me tell you something about [the first training video]. I did that video and I was in bed for a week," he told Joe Rogan's podcast.

"That was 30 seconds and I was in bed for a week. That was not funny because it made me realize that this is big boy sh*t.”

It seems, though, that Tyson has now acclimatised to his training routine and looks to back to his brutal best ahead of November's clash with Jones Jr.
