Mike Tyson shows off his incredible speed and power at 53 in viral clip amid talk of boxing return

It has been 15 years since Mike Tyson last fought in a boxing ring. But at 53 years old, the heavyweight legend still hasn’t lost his electric speed and power.

Former world champion Tyson revealed last week he has started training ahead of a return to the sport to compete in exhibition bouts for charity.

Tyson shared footage of one of his sessions on Instagram, showing off his still-fearsome ability hitting the bag.

The clip has been viewed over six million times on Instagram alone, drawing astonishment from all circles with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson among those impressed.

“My brother you got me ready to run thru a MF wall now. To the gym I go,” he wrote.

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov wrote: “Can’t believe, this is another level,” with teenage tennis sensation simply commenting: “Unbelievable.”

The youngest ever heavyweight champion revealed in an Instagram Live with American rapper T.I in April he has been training for a number of weeks, preparing for ‘three or four round’ bouts

“That’s been tough, my body is really jacked up and really sore from hitting the mitts," Tyson said.

“I’ve been working out, I’ve been trying to get in the ring, I think I’m going to box some exhibitions and get in shape.

“I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box three or four-round exhibitions for some charities and stuff.

“Some charity exhibitions, make some money, help some homeless and drug-affected motherf****** like me."
