Mike Tyson sets out plans to fight in more exhibition bouts

Mike Tyson says he wants to fight "once every two months" after his first bout in 15 years ended in a draw with Roy Jones Jr.

The legendary 54-year-old heavyweight returned to the ring to take on his old rival Jones, 51, on Saturday night.

Iron Mike appeared to edge the encounter after eight two-minute rounds - but instead the fight was scored even.

The encounter only appears to have whetted his appetite for further opportunities, however, and speaking at his post-fight press conference Tyson hinted he could travel to Europe in the near future.

"My body feels splendid - I want to beat it up some more," he said.

"Maybe (next) we do something in the south of France - Monaco or San Tropez and we do something out there with one of the European fighters.

"Anything is possible - the sky is the limit. I believe we broke all the records on Pay per View concerning boxing. I just want to continue doing this from a humanitarian perspective."

He later went on to add: "I once had 15 fights in one year. Let's try and work closer to that.

"It has to be competitive. I would like to have one once every two months."

It remains to be seen exactly when Tyson will return to the ring again, but his opponent admitted afterwards that he may have been lucky to get away with a draw.

"He hit harder, everything hurt," Jones said. "It makes you so fatigued. His hands hurt, his head hurt, everything he made contact with I was like 'wow'.

"I wanted to go for the W but what I really wanted to do was put on a show. This gave people something positive to look forward to. This gave people an opportunity to remember what the good times were like."
