Mike Tyson declares 'I'm back' after sharing ferocious training video amid boxing return talk

Mike Tyson has declared he is 'back' after releasing a new fearsome training video as talk of a sensational return to boxing mounts.

Tyson, 53, has not fought since retiring from the ring 15 years ago but revealed in April he plans to fight again in exhibition bouts.

The youngest heavyweight world champion in history has already been linked with a host of fights with John Fury - father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson who he named after ‘Iron Mike’ - putting forward a challenge.

A new video shared on Instagram shows Tyson go to work in a ferocious gym session, showing he still has the speed and power that once made him the most feared fighter on the planet before turning to the the camera and saying: “I’m back.”

Last week, one of Tyson’s old foes Evander Holyfield also declared his desire to return to boxing to participate in exhibition matches to support Unite4OurFight, a charity devoted to providing social and emotional support during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The announcement inevitably fuelled talk of a third meeting with Tyson with Holyfield doing little to dampen speculation.

Holyfield told Sky Sports News: "I don't know, you would have to ask him! I wouldn't ask nobody to do anything they don't want to do. But it's for charity.

"If we can work something out that works for everybody then it's a win-win-win."
