Mike Tyson among three possible opponents for Evander Holyfield fight

Mike Tyson is among three possible candidates for Evander Hoylfield's comeback fight.

The 57-year-old will step back into the ring for the first time since his retirement in 2011.

The former heavyweight champion twice beat Tyson in his career, with their second bout in 1997 known for Holyfield having his ear bitten by his opponent.

Nevertheless a trilogy bout could be on the cards, but Holyfield has also been in contact with Riddick Bowe.

Lennox Lewis is the third possible opponent for Holyfield, although he admits there was been no contact between the pair.

The American fought Lewis twice in 1999 - drawing the first fight before losing the second six month later.

And he told  The Times : “It’s better you do it with people who have been round like you.

“I don’t want to go and fight someone trying to make a name for themselves. People want to see me and Bowe, of course Mike Tyson and maybe Lennox, that would be good. I’ll spar with anyone.”

Holyfield expects the exhibition fight to take place in Saudi Arabia towards the end of the year.

It will only last a few rounds with no intention of knock outs.

He added: “Look, we are going three rounds. It’s not ten or 15. Maybe there’ll be headgear. My intention is not to knock someone out, but you’ve got 16oz gloves and you get good shots in sparring too.”
