Mike Trout shares heartbreaking statement on the death of Tyler Skaggs: ‘We love you, 45’

The Los Angeles Angels announced some absolutely heartbreaking news on Monday afternoon when they shared that pitcher Tyler Skaggs had died before Monday’s game against the Rangers in Texas.

According to reports, police found the 27-year-old pitcher dead in his hotel room. Monday’s game was immediateley postponed.

Skaggs’ death rocked the MLB world. Tributes quickly rolled in from players, fans, media members, and teams, with everyone being so stunned and saddened by this terrible news.

Angels star Mike Trout released an emotional statement Monday evening, tweeting his love for Skaggs and offering his thoughts and prayers to Skaggs’ wife, Carli, and their families:

I can’t imagine what Trout and his teammates are going through right now. This is all just so awful.
