Mike Trout announced the birth of his son on Saturday evening with a post to his social media. Beckham Aaron Trout was born on July 30 at 5:10 p.m., and came in at a healthy 7 pounds 10 ounces. Good stats right off the bat, but what would you expect from the son of possibly the greatest to ever play the game?
Beckham is the first child of Trout and his wife, Jessica. The two announced they were expecting earlier this year. Trout also spoke out earlier this year about MLB’s proposed plan to play all their games in Arizona — Trout noted he was worried he would miss the birth of his child were he to be in Arizona.
Luckily for Trout, he got to be there.
As more than a few people noticed, Trout’s son’s initials are B.A.T.
