Mike Tomlin ready for the return of his Superman

When Ben Roethlisberger was lost last season, the Pittsburgh Steelers coaching staff did their best to hold the team together minus its best player. This doesn’t change the fact that everyone in the room knows this team is much better with Big Ben in the fold.

Head coach Mike Tomlin echoed that sentiment when he went on the NFL Network on Thursday.  Tomlin fully expects to get the very best out of Roethlisberger and acknowledges the best of Big Ben often comes when his back is against the wall.

In 2018, Roethlisberger was spectacular. He led the league in passing yards with 5,129 and completed 67 percent of his passes. And this was with his elbow not being 100 percent. A fully healthy return of Roethlisberger this season might end up being a sighting of Superman at Heinz Field.
