Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino has spoken of his joy at being granted early release from prison.
The former Celebrity Big Brother and Jersey Shore star was jailed for eight months in January after being busted for tax evasion.
Along with his brother Marc, Sorrentino was charged with multiple tax offenses.
But before reporting to prison in November, Sorrentino, 37, married his college sweetheart Lauren Pesce.
Speaking to Page Six , following his release from New York's Otisville Federal Correctional Institution on Thursday, Sorrentino said he was 'elated to finally close this chapter of his life'
"Thank you to our family, friends and fans for the continuous love and support during this time, it brought us so much peace and comfort. We look forward to continuing our life as husband and wife and working on baby situations!
The reality star and his fashion blogger wife Lauren originally met and dated in college but split before Sorrentino became a household name.
The sweethearts then reconciled in 2012 and have been together through thick and thin ever since.
Last August Mike proposed after celebrating being 33 months sober.
Taking to Instagram to share a pic of him popping the question at the beach, he wrote: "Went from running into a wall to down on knee. We do recover."
