Mike Phelan sends message to Manchester United fans ahead of Barcelona clash

Manchester United face a daunting test in the Champions League on Tuesday evening as they head to Barcelona's Nou Camp for the second leg of their quarter-final.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side trail 1-0 from the first leg at Old Trafford and need to beat Ernesto Valverde's side to secure a spot in the competition's final four, which is not an easy task as the Catalan giants are unbeaten in their last 30 home matches in the Champions League.

However, United will be buoyed on from their remarkable comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in their last trip to the continent, where Marcus Rashford's last-gasp penalty sealed a spot in the quarter-finals.

Ahead of the match, United's assistant manager Mike Phelan issued a message to supporters as his side look to secure another memorable night away from home in Europe.

"Nothing better than an away day in Europe with Man United," he wrote on Twitter.

"Morning all, enjoy the day and make some noise. This is the one."

Should United manage to overturn their defeat from the first leg, a semi-final date with Liverpool looks to be the likely reward as Jurgen Klopp's side lead 2-0 on aggregate.
