Mike Perry leaves commentary booth to brawl with Julian Lane at BKFC Fight Night: Tampa

Mike Perry’s bare fists have flown before his first official bout with Bare Knuckle Fight Championships.

On Thursday evening at BKFC Fight Night: Tampa, Perry was speaking with the commentary team of Sean Wheelock and Chris Lytle about his switch from the UFC to BKFC. As Perry was explaining his decision to join the promotion and his excitement to compete with the gloves off when something flew in from off-camera and papers hit him in the face.

The Ultimate Fighter alum and fellow BKFC fighter Julian Lane was the culprit, according to Lytle, and he continued to say some things towards Perry, who took off his headset. A brawl between the two ensued, but the cameras quickly cut away as the lights faded for the introductions of the next fight about to take place.

Check out the video of the incident below (via Twitter):

Perry does not yet have a date scheduled for his debut with BKFC. He recently competed at Triller Triad Combat in Arlington, Texas, where he defeated Michael Seals via split decision.

Lane, who is coming off a loss to David Rickels at BKFC Fight Night: Wichita, will be facing Kaleb Harris at BKFC Fight Night: Jackson in January. Lane was never captured clearly on camera during the brawl with Perry, but was confirmed as the person Perry was fighting with off-camera.
