Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence's campaign plane had a rough landing Thursday night at New York's LaGuardia Airport.
In a statement, the campaign said there were no injuries and that Donald Trump, the GOP nominee, had talked to his running mate.
"Mr. Trump called him from the car. He reached out to Governor Pence and he is very glad everyone aboard is safe," Stephanie Grisham, a spokeswoman for Trump, said.
The airport was briefly closed as crews responded to the incident. Some reporters on the plane said on Twitter it had skidded off the runway.
