The New England Patriots had six limited players on Thursday during practice in preparation for Week 5 against the Washington Redskins.
Receivers Julian Edelman (chest) and Josh Gordon (knee), safeties Patrick Chung (heel) and Nate Ebner (groin), linebacker Dont’a Hightower (shoulder) and running back Rex Burkhead (foot) were limited. Defensive end Michael Bennett (shoulder) was a full participant for the second straight day. And receiver Gunner Olszewski was removed from the injury report after being limited by a hamstring issue on Wednesday.
The Patriots had a new attendee at practice on Thursday. They signed kicker Mike Nugent after placing kicker Stephen Gostkowski on injured reserve on Wednesday after he suffered a season-ending hip injury.
