Mike Mayock claps back: Antonio Brown guarantees are voided, Raiders state Brown is ineligible for termination pay

Antonio Brown’s crypic post early Saturday morning seems to have more of a foundation now. Along with the $215,000 fine Brown was issued by the Raiders, as well as voiding $29 million in guarantees in his contract, the Raiders informed Brown he will not be entitled to termination pay should the team decide to release him.

This is the latest event in a bizarre string of incidents involving the team, most of which occurring in the last three days. An alleged incident with general manager Mike Mayock came after Brown posted to Instagram an image of a letter explaining the fines the Raiders were in a position to levy on Brown for missing practice time during and after training camp. That led to Brown’s alleged apology to his teammates Friday, followed by a general apology in front of assembled media later that day.

Friday night, Brown posted a video with a phone conversation between himself and Raiders coach Jon Gruden playing in the background — Gruden allegedly enjoyed the video, though.
