Mike Leach’s belly flop is already one of the best college football moments this season

Washington State football coach Mike Leach never ceases to entertain, and, now in his eighth season with the program, he’s one of the many reasons we’re excited the start to the college football season is just a few weeks away.

The Cougars had their fourth practice at camp Monday in Lewiston, Idaho as they prepare for their season-opener against New Mexico State on August 31. But you know, it’s summer, and it’s hot just about everywhere. So Leach and his team went for a swim to cool off, which led to a very Mike Leach moment.

Thanks to the football team’s Twitter account, the internet gets to enjoy a spectacular video of Leach doing a belly flop off of a diving board.

Other players on the team showed off their belly flops too — whether or not they were on purpose is a different story — but nothing can match the 58-year-old coach’s performance.

This Mike Leach moment is definitely up there with Leach’s rant about wedding planning, his A+ Christmas photo and the time he did a post-game interview with a fake Gardner Minshew mustache on his face.

Never change, Coach Leach.
