Mike Francesa kicks Giants, Pat Shurmur while they’re down: ‘Complete losers’

WFAN’s Mike Francesa ruined his relationship with the New York Giants this year by spreading false rumors, endlessly trash talking the team in increasingly vile ways, questioning the character of rookie Corey Ballentine following a completely random shooting that took the life of his close personal friend and throwing around personal insults like tic-tacs.

That divorce has not sat well with Francesa, who lost all of his weekly interviews with the Giants and left him high and dry during training camp for the first time in decades.

Needless to say, Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals, which saw head coach Pat Shurmur look like a fool, presented the perfect opportunity for Francesa to throw some gasoline on the fire. And throw gasoline he did.

Francesa, who likely had just awoken from his nap, lit into the Giants and Shurmur, flat-out calling the organization “losers.”

It takes a loser to know a loser, but regardless of how you feel about the rapidly declining Francesa, he’s not wrong in this case.

Shurmur is clueless. By definition, the Giants are losers. And as much as it may pain some fans to admit, Daniel Jones has regressed for three consecutive weeks. And while his fall from grace may not be as pronounced as Francesa’s, it’s certainly a bad sign for these Giants and one that co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch can not be happy with.

Will the Giants soon embark on another coaching search? A few weeks ago, that seemed ludicrous, but as Francesa implies, that could become New York’s reality in the not too distance future.
