Mike Daniels returns as Bengals announce Week 7 roster moves

The Cincinnati Bengals announced a handful of roster moves ahead of the team’s Week 7 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Chief among those moves was returning defensive tackle Mike Daniels to the active roster.

Daniels was a free-agent add in response to losing players like Josh Tupou, Renell Wren and Ryan Glasgow inside. But he suffered a setback, recovered and then immediately suffered an elbow injury in practice and hit the shelf.

Now Daniels returns just as Bengals staff continue to ramp up Geno Atkins, who just returned last week and played a limited role while continuing his comeback from a shoulder injury suffered in camp. Daniels will likely play a big role against the Browns despite the addition of Margus Hunt in free agency.

As a whole, the Bengals announced a handful of moves Saturday, including some cornerback shuffling with top corner William Jackson out for at least this weekend due to a concussion.
