Mikael Lustig gets involved as Celtic fans troll Steven Gerrard

Mikael Lustig has responded to a video of Celtic supporters trolling Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.

A dedicated Hoops channel on Instagram shared a video of Gerrard saying he'd never witnessed a "police officer playing in an Old Firm game" and that was ripe for the Swedish defender to get involed.

Lustig famously donned a police hat last season while celebrating James Forrest's goal in the 5-0 trouncing which won Celtic the league.

And the 32-year-old couldn't help but see the funny side of the clip, which spliced together Gerrard's comment with his celebration.

Lustig posted two laughing emojis in the comments section and it was quickly picked up by supporters.

The veteran defender is out of contract but has provided plenty of memorable moments if this is to be his last season in the Hoops.

The right-back had his shirt ripped after the 2-1 win at the weekend and previously sauntered past Joey Barton with a beach ball on his head during a 5-1 win in 2016.
