Celtic's transfer move for Mika Baur has reportedly stalled with Paderborn holding out for an improved bid.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Celtic are pushing to land the midfielder, but Paderborn chiefs don't want to lose him for less than their valuation.
It's claimed club officials would prefer to see Baur move on for nothing at the end of his contract next year than see the 22-year-old leave in a cut-price deal.
The clubs are thought to be in contact over a transfer agreement, with Baur reportedly having already reached personal terms with the Parkhead club.

Journalist Dennis Bayer states Paderborn chiefs feel no pressure to sell the player, with plans in place currently for him to remain at the club for the upcoming Bundesliga season.
He posted: "Sky Info: #Celtic push for Mika #Baur. Clubs in contact.
"Departure below market value for #Paderborn bosses no option, would rather accept a free transfer departure in 2027.
"#SCP sees no pressure to sell. Plans with the midfielder for the upcoming Bundesliga season."
Former Rangers player Christian Nerlinger, now an agent, is working on a possible deal to see Baur sign for Celtic.
Nerlinger was involved in Nico Kuhn's transfer to Como from Celtic as he represented the German winger during his time in Glasgow.
Baur, usually deployed in central midfield, can also play in a deeper or more advanced role, and has occasionally featured on the left wing.
Schalke 04 and around five other Bundesliga clubs are thought to have been tracking the player.
