A migrant teenager detained in America lay dead in his cell for hours before being found.
Carlos Gregorio Hernandez Vasquez, 16, collapsed on the concrete floor of his shared cell at a processing centre in Texas.
The severely ill teen, who a nurse said needed medical attention, then got up before slumping to the floor next to a toilet, where he died.
Officers initially said Carlos, from Guatemala, was found during a welfare check - but footage from inside the cell appears to show he was found by another man in his cell.
Before his death, a nurse reportedly found Carlos to have a fever and flu and recommended he be re-assessed and hospitalised if he worsened.

Instead, Carlos was left in his cell where he vomited blood.
Footage of his tragic death was released by the police department in Weslaco, Texas, who originally investigated the case, reports the Independent .
It clearly shows Carlos collapse to the floor, writhing in apparent distress.
Investigators also found the CCTV of the cell had a four gap.
Six migrant children have now died in fedeal custody since Donald Trump became president.
In December 2018, eight-year-old Felipe Gomez Alonzo died on his sixth day being held in a holding facility.

He also had a high fever, but was taken to hospital before being discharged hours later an returned to a cell at a Border Patrol highway checkpoint.
Felipe fell ill soon after once again and died.
Three weeks before his death, seven-year-old Jakelin Caal Maquin, also died in federal custody.
In Carlos' case, he had arrived to the facility on May 13, with an initial medical screening showing he was fit and healthy.
He was placed in a holding facility while waiting to be placed in a children's shelter.
By May 19, a placement for Carlos was found - however he had started showing signs of illness that were confirmed by a nurse brought in to carry out an emergency medical report.

The nurse requested he be re-evaluated in two hours, if not sooner, and if he had worsened he should be taken to hospital.
Carlos was never re-evaluated and reportedly only received his hot evening meal after midnight.
He died soon after.
Carlos' cell was fitted with a window in which officers could see in.
Documents state four welfare checks were carried out in the hours before his death, but footage from the cell reportedly shows no officers entering the cell.
During a four-hour gap in the recording, Carlos does not seem to move.

When Carlos was finally discovered, after a cell-mate appeared to raise the alarm, a medic reportedly carried out one chest compression before stopping when blood ran from his ears.
Investigators found a pool of blood around his head, although he had not cut himself.
A bin next to him contained a halfeaten sandwich and two unopened frozen burritos.
The Department of Homeland Security is investigating.
