Migrant accused of sexually assaulting women and girls on London Underground in spate of attacks

A migrant living in a taxpayer-funded hotel housing asylum seekers has been accused of sexually assaulting women and girls on the London Underground in a spate of attacks.

Hamza Alotaibi, 27, a Jordanian national, allegedly assaulted all his victims within the space of a month in the capital.

The youngest victim is understood to be a schoolgirl, 12, who he approached on a District Line train while it travelled between St James Park and Acton Town on Monday, January 27, the Daily Mail reported.

Just two days later, on Wednesday, January 29, Alotaibi reportedly groped a woman around Paddington.

Then on Tuesday, February 4, Alotaibi was said to have assaulted a woman on the Elizabeth Line near Whitechapel.

Finally, on Thursday, February 13, it was heard that Alotaibi molested another woman on the same line between Liverpool Street and Canary Wharf.

All of the women and girls were targeted by Alotaibi while travelling alone, the hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court was told.

At the time of his arrest, Alotaibi was living in a property contracted by the Home Office, although it was not specified where.

He has now been moved to similar accommodation in County Durham, according to the Mail, that reported on the hearing.

Alotaibi, who was assisted in court by an Arabic interpreter, denied four separate counts of sexual assault on a female.

Alotaibi was also told to travel with an Oyster card if using services run by Transport for London.

The judge bailed Alotaibi ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing at Inner London Crown Court on Wednesday, November 19.
